Welcome Alexha!

Hi ya'll! I am back here... but not as in totally back to the lime light haha! I just wanted to share to all my friends and fellow bloggers whose been with me all along my pregnancy. Here she is guys let me introduce you my bouncing Bebe kurdapya! We named her "Alexha JosiLee". Right now i am enjoying being a new mom again despite all the pains and sleepless nights i been through now i am so blessed and happy to finally held her in my arms. We just got home yesterday after 4days in the hospital and i can't believed time flew by so fast seems like yesterday we found out that i am pregnant again! Goodness! And right now look what we've got a very adorable baby lol. They truly a precious gifts from God.

Being a parent is the most wonderful feeling you could ever imagined. I have a friend she and her husband are looking forward to getting pregnant pretty soon and i gave her some advices how to get ready emotionally, mentally and of course physically. Protecting Delicate Teeth

At what age did your teeth begin to develop? The process started while you were still in the womb-before your mother even knew that she was pregnant! Thus it is important to get adequate supply of nutrients such as calcium, phosphorus, protein and vitamins.

What about newborns? Experts say that bottle-fed babies are particularly vulnerable to tooth decay. How do these happen? Some infants routinely fall asleep while sucking on a bottle containing milk, sugar water, or soda. Since these contains carbohydrates, bacteria thrives. Bacteria produce acids which form tooth decay. Some babies withe severe decay suffer premature tooth loss which affect the development of their permanent teeth

How can parents like us protect our babies delicate teeth? Breast-feeding is recommended since mother's milk is sterile and rich in antibodies.
If a bottle is used, experts say that its use should be discontinued after the baby reaches 18 months of age, and bottle be used only for feeding and not as a pacifier. If the baby is put to bed with bottle, it is better if it contained plain water. After each feeding, a clean soft cloth to clean the baby teeth.

Just me!

This is me just recently being 23weeks and 5days preggy belly. I know i look big already! I bet she is a big baby too like his kuya. He was an 8.5lbs baby when i delivered him, one thing why i went through to CS you know. By now i can really feel her kicks and moves everyday and it feels so great when something moving inside your womb. I can't wait to hold her soon. My in laws are getting stuff ready already, the dresses and everything. I told them not to let me see what they've got for her because i just wanted to be surprise! Gushh, i started to gain a lot of weight now and i am trying my best not to get so huge by eating and munching anything!

What a Laundry!!!

I was shocked when i did the filing of clothes to laundry, my goodness i have 5 batches of clothes to wash right now i couldn't believe just 2 of us adults here excluding my son's a batch of dirty clothes. And we got bunch!! this is only for a week of used! how much if i have 6kids??? hayy makakuyaw!!

Anyway, I always separate his (son) dirty clothes and detergent from us. Just to avoid skin allergy as we all know baby's skin is too sensitive for harsh materials. Well, my filing is from bed sheets and jeans&pants, all the way to towels, whites colors, and of course the smallest fabrics! I just don't throw each and every one together at once besides white of course! I'm so particular with organizing clothes hehe sorry that's just me... MAARTE kaayo si kurdapya! No Wonder I will be stuck for a while in my laundry task today. Hayy kapuy unsaun nlng!

14 weeks!

We just arrived from my OB's appointment couple hours ago. I am confirmed 14weeks pregnant! we heard our baby's heart beat pretty good but we're late for my ultrasound app and need to be rescheduled well not a problem though next visit we will have my ultrasound. I am happy with the staff and my new OB, they are so nice and accommodating. Now i am excited for my pregnancy i wasn't really at first because I'm not that sure yet, but now it is confirmed so totally mix emotion happy and anxious and everything haha! My son will be big brother soon and I'm sure he'll be a good one because we can see already him with other kids, he is friendly and sympathetic boy.

Ginisang Monggo for Dinner!

I'm here in the my kitchen preparing something for dinner, i thought sauteed monggo is good for tonight. Husband likes it a lot and so our son, ofcourse me! i missed ginisang monggo all of a sudden, they called it as poor man's dish! i don't know why they called it this way as a matter of fact ginisang monggo (mung stew) is full of nutrients and very healthy more so if you put several veges with it like okra, eggplant or kamote leaves. But mine, since i don't have that veges in my fridge other than okra decided to put some onion leaves still taste delicious! hmmm yum yum with rice!

at 8 still breastfeeding

This is a very rare situation that a mother still considering to breastfeed her kids in a very long period of time. At age 5 the eldest stop breastfeed, meanwhile the youngest age 8 still drinking her mother's milk. This family is unique and they have their own principles when it comes to this matter. Well, it's her choice! Just watch this video so you can fully understand what i mean...

Baby Bump

sony is alot better

Thank God that he is feeling better right now, we went to his pedia yesterday for his well check up and the doctor said that he is doing right and growing normally... well that's the only thing parents wanna hear from their child that he grows on the way it use to be hehe. But oh boy while we we're there Bebe at first he was just calmed while the nurse checking him but after when the doc was the one touches him he is kinda wild wild froggy screaming to the max! had to held him tight because he will really loose what a strong baby i may say. His doctor told so to get a blood test procedure for him just to make sure he doesn't have any contact with lead or what so ever it is MANDATORY thing for child's well. So we headed to laboratory, take some blood .. supposed to be in his arm but i refused to do so and asked the nurse just poke him in his finger tip because that was hurt in my own experienced and i CAN'T imagine son screaming and kicking to the highest level if we done that! my goodness i couldn't watch it! i started to get emotional just thinking of it! huhuhu just motherly instinct huh!

Kangaroo Mother Care

Keeping premature infants alive is a challenge for doctors. Babies with low birth weights are often placed in the warm environment of an incubator, where they remain until they have gained weight. In developing lands, however, overcrowded facilities, poor sanitation, and a shortage of medical personnel and equipment often result in dangerous cross infections

A doctor in Colombia came up with method that seems to alleviate this problem. How does it work?

When baby is born prematurely, it is cared for in the standard way until its condition stabilizes. In the meantime, the mother receives training in child care. When the baby is sufficiently healthy, the mother becomes a living incubator. How? By keeping her baby close to her, wrapped vertically between her breast. Safe in its kangaroo like pouch, the baby stays warm and can easily be fed its mothers milk. Hence, the method is often called kangaroo mother care.

No fancy equipment is necessary. The mother wears a suitable blouse or a normal dress with a waistband. When the baby has gained sufficient weight, the mother and baby can go home, returning to the hospital regularly for checkups.

Preliminary research indicates that kangaroo mother care is effective and safe. Furthermore, it seems to promote a closer bond between infant and mother. And not surprisingly, the method has been adapted for use in many countries actually and becoming more recognizable at present.
In certain place like Mexico , they trained relatives to become kangaroo fathers, grandparents and even sisters to help out mother needs a well deserve break. This was been use since 1992 by them and they said it was seen very effective as it is. how good is that! fewer incubator and much less hospital time are needed.

"Cheers to all Mothers"

I got a nice tag from jerla! thank you for this encouraging thoughts! To all mothers like me, lets enjoy being a mother to our children because they are precious gifts from God. An inheritance from us, a fruitage that brings us rich rewards if we just teach them the right from the wrong. I know being a mom it's hard and tough job especially when you are newly from this experience but everything is worth while when you see your child growing. I love being a mother i honestly do!

Mr. Nice Guy

Mr. Nice Guy! I'm talking about my one and only child who i dearly love and he is my little guy. In this picture he look so good boy in fairness he is the sweetest boy most of the time although in some moments or scenario he is kinda stubborn but i guess its a baby nature! hard to believed i have a grown up little boy, who is so curious of everything! he is 13months old already and very energetic. Doesn't want mommy to hold him and i missed that so much but anyhow if he is tired or sleepy he just want his mommy to cuddle him and hug him to the hardest lol! I love my boy so very much.

How to help your Children Develop a Love for Reading Mommies?
I think this could help us!

• Set an example by reading regularly yourself. Parents who read are likely to have children who read.
• Talk to your baby from his infancy. Exposure to meaningful language helps children understand words and concepts that will make learning to read easier.
• Read to your children regularly. When held on the lap and read to, infants get the message that words and books are good, even when they are not yet old enough to understand the story being read. Continue to read to your children after they have learned to read for themselves. Schoolteachers help children learn how to read, but parents can do much to help them enjoy reading. Children enjoy hearing their favorite stories over and over again.
• Have books available for your children to read at home.
• Encourage your children to write. A child who writes is usually a reader also.
• Choose a definite daily period for family reading. take turns reading, and then discuss the material together. These times should be enjoyable and up building.

Not just for mothers though as well for fathers!

Supermama

Being a full time is a though job! I'm sure mother's like me out there agree? We are the supermama in our own way. We do lots of things for the household like cooking, chores and taking care for our little ones and hubby of course. I used to be an easy go lucky girl because i depend all to my mom about things this and that, well we have different assignments in doing household yet it is very different when you have your own family now, before as we grew up we have kinda yaya just assisting us hehe but here in USA not applicable.

So I personally work 24/7 aside my blogging thing because i want to make sure everything is good and organized, and i can't take it if things are not inplace i get grouchy! though i have some more patching up to do here and there. I tell you being a full time mom a homemaker is really hectic good thing i am managing my time quite well i don't engage to much in one time we need to relax though! for our own good. I'm trying not to be haggard lol yikes! Just now I realized how much a mother important to our lives hehe with out them the household won't be complete. Mabuhay talaga ang mga mommy!!! haha.

caffeine kids

I Learned some things on an article i was reading it all about caffeine on children, how does it affect the and what is with the caffeine to the kids. I agree with the issue and affected since i am a mother now i just want the best for my son. Talking about his food or what he eats I'm kinda... shall we say picky. We're very strict, hubby and I to not giving him our son any caffeinated thing yet, because we know what will going to happen on his early age if his caffeine intake is high.
This was I've learned and might as well share it to you mommies out there!

"Children who are inattentive, fidgety, easily distracted and impulsive might be suffering from high caffeine intake, says tufts university diet&nutrition letter. For a 40pound child, "a can of cola plus just a half a cup of iced yea is the equivalent of three cups of coffee" for an adult. The article referred to research by Mitchell Schare, a psychology professor at Hofstra university, that showed that many of the symptoms of high caffeine intake in children mimic symptoms of such conditions as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Before you decide your restless or jumpy youngster has such a problem, it added, you might find the solution to the fidgetiness as simple as curtailing cola and tea consumption.

exhausted

I been so exhausted lately as in to the highest point! lacking of sleep at night... because my son has been sick almost a week now and he wants his momi all the time i guess it's true that when kids are not feeling good they always looking for their mommies instead to the dads! even just a second i am out of his sight right now he started crying and become so grouchy and all that kind thing! poor baby i don't want him seeing like this with all the runny nose and congestion & everything! trying to make him comfortable as i can yet i am so tired and drained and need to sleep right now i wish i have here my family to take turns for me and hubby, his also tired i know yet his not complaining.. right now he do mostly of the chores around the house cooking, washing dishes, cleaning etcccc. team parenting is what it said share the work so save the marriage!

Bebe will be a year old this month, I can not believe it as if just yesterday I was in delivery and agonizing the pain of labor! surely time really goes very fast you can not even notice. My son right now is getting very curious of everything! everyday he discover alot of things around him, even though he's not fully walking yet but he is trying and very courageous without a doubt we called him a brave little sneaker, because he wants to go and do on his own thing... typical baby I may say all babies are like that I thought so. Part of their learning stages! but poor mommies out there! including me, we are the one that of course very concern if something hurting on them don't it? our heart always on the run and throbbing. Just like this photo, I was doing my opps and I just let him play around me where in I can still monitor him even i'm kinda busy. So fast he went inside the box, i don't know how he did it! I called dad and he was just said man!
Then after his play time... I grabbed him to clean before going to bed my goodness I saw scratch in his legs, I'm not use of him getting scratch and scrapes hehehe! Ohhh I know there are so much more adventures and things we will going to expect! I will just put in mind that he's just a baby and very curious. I have to have left and right, back and fort eyes to eyeing on him! That's challenging huh! And when you look at your baby, their eyes seems saying.... I'M JUST A BABY, YOU GOT TO LOVE! lol.

Surrogate Mother

I am chatting with my family back home every trice a week. Lately, I heard that they are helping a couple to look for a surrogate mother for their baby. Especially my mom and dad they really wanted to help to this couple since this is the son or daughter of my dad's attorney. Well anyway, I learned that the baby was a premature less than days to be 7months old, very crucial for a little one to be born on that age.
Unfortunately, the mama can not breastfeed her baby because isn't time yet for her lactation, and the only thing the doctor advice is breast milk for the baby to survive! When hearing that, I felt so sad can imagined the feeling of them, I am a mother now so I know that was hard to take it seeing your baby in the incubator with all the tube and gadgets sticking on and everything then you can not give the only thing that your baby need... ohhh that's awful! Good thing my parents are there to help them in anyway they could for the family.
My mom and dad are the one looking for surrogate mothers who could give breast milk and everyday or most of the time they bring it in the hospital at least a bottle, each time the baby should take 5cc for every 2-3 hours! my dad said... he felt bad too especially he is a grand father already so they are trying their best to help.
I was thinking that if ever I am there in pinas I will be glad to give some of mine since still having some, bebe still in feeding. Fortunately, my mom has quite bit of friends and her friend's friends. I hope everything turn good and wishing the best of the parents and of course to the little one.

Speech Disorders Among Children

" More and more children start speaking late and use a very limited vocabulary," says the Polish magazine Wrost, "because adults do not talk with them."Mohers apend 30 minutes a day with their children, on average, a fathers, a "mere seven minutes." As a results, almost 1 child out of every 5 "suffers from certain speech development disorders resulting solely from its arents' negligence." According to Michal Bitniok, a speech therapistand linguist at the Silesian University, warns: "If such children are not treated early enough and remain uncared for, their speech disorders might cause them difficulties at school and in their adult life."

So this is an open mind for us parents, we should always give extra time and give more attention to our dear young once especially in their growing years. Talk and listen to them every single time, don't take them for granted and be aware of their needs. Afterall, If we do this... we will be blessed and proud.
