Weekend

Is it almost weekend? If I stand in my tippy toes I can see it from here. What makes me so excited about weekend is our family bonding. It’s nothing extraordinary though in fact what I really like is our fun joyrides and sight-seeing along the beach. My favorite spot would be the metal gazebos near the park. People go there for dry picnics, I love taking my camera over there and just take random shots of life. Well I guess weekends will always be something special for each of us, it’s the time when we can just take our time, calm down and relax.

Cute Dresses

These are my new sewed dresses for my 4 year old girly who loves to doll up her self! She adores all kinds of dresses with her favorite colors pink and purple of course! She also wear reds as long she sees it cute and pretty for her taste, lol. As an amateur dress maker i am very proud of what I've created because i never use any patterns on these three at all. Just doing an eye ball measurements with my daughter and i am glad it fits her well! I have more fabrics and materials to make several. One is 80% done and just modifying couple of spots that needs attention. Next project is trying to figure out the ruffle style dresses because we both love those kinds. Wink!

Morning walk at the beach

Kids haven't been sick lately until we went to Tennessee two (2) weeks ago. Unfortunately Mr.colds caught them there! Probably from tree pollen allergy reaction or they got it around the corner you know, we learned the state has the worst common colds and flu virus going on around. At first we thought, its only my son's pollen allergy however his lil sister got the colds too so i suspect its more than that. Glad we're back to sunshine state and they're getting better everyday with the help of colds medicines. We also thought would be nice to take them to the ocean early morning to get some fresh air (ocean breeze is good when u have colds or flu, it opens your nasal cavity and congestion) of course get some sunshine (morning sunlight has the healing rays for individual who doesn't feel good) I believed it's vitamin D. 

So anyway, last Sunday morning we headed to the ocean boardwalk just 15 minutes drive from home. We walked for 45 minutes from end to end of the boardwalk then going back where we starts. Twas a great feeling afterwards. We're all energized and refresh! Kids had fun along the way. We stopped for rests few time here and there with over looking the waves and sands. I am busy taking pictures while strolling. We planned of doing this routine most often on the weekend. It was our longest walking experienced ever lately! We enjoyed though.  

He is losing tooth

My son who just turn 6 last month is losing his tooth for the first time. We are looking forward to that however that tells us he is growing up, Yikes! I must admit i just want him to be my baby forever but of course we all know kids won't stop growing! Anyway, i have to stop being emotional though, we are happy that he will be a big boy now. And his grandmother mention of getting him a Fender Jaguar guitar as a gift. He loves music lately and thought getting a guitar would be a nice one. I used to be frustrated to learn music but music doesn't like me at all! So if my son has the love of it, definitely we will support him all the way! Wink.

Pillowcase Dress she loves

Another dress i just made for my lil princess! She loves it so much that she wouldn't taken the dress off, lol. I've found a floral fabric and interlock pink fabric and thought a perfect combo. So i hastily sewed them in a matter of 4 hours got so excited to finished it and give it to her. I made a hair bow to match the entire outfit. Everyone compliment how lovely the dress is, the pattern is so springy and vibrant. One important thing is my daughter enjoys her new dresses that her mom sew it for her! I've sewing several pieces already and everything is pretty and so cute, she can't wait to wear them all. As a matter of fact i offer some to my relative in other state, sending her lil girl some dresses i made as well. Hope she'll love it! Wink.

Black/White Ruffly Dress

I am pleased of my dress purchased for my lil girly girl. From sugar honey brand and thought it is really cute it will definitely add a sweetness to her wardrobe. The heart pattern is what she love as well, anything with hearts! For sure any little girl would look pretty with this dress, the bright pink stands out so i got the idea to matched it up with elastic white/pink head piece and pink shoes! She is so happy because the color pink is her favorite color ever! Lol. The dress has an elastic shirred bodice so she can wear this for a lil bit longer. I love the kids apparels store where i usually shops there stuff.  

Soundproofing your room

Okay so I woke up and realized that I missed my mini office back in TN. I have that little corner behind the kitchen where I do all of my online job and everything about blogging. It’s a quite spot where I can gather my thoughts and think better. So I told the husband if I can have a little office here as well. This time the idea of putting egg crate foam seems nice because it make a room soundproof. I’m actually looking on where to find egg carton foam online. Glad to find some at Foam Factory and their egg cartons are really cute especially the ones with colours. I really like the purple ones, and for sure the lil girl will like it too, you know! Winks!!

Homecoming- the second time around

It’s been almost three years since our last vacation in the Philippines. It was totally an unexpected trip and everything, from the preparation, dates and itinerary were all instant. Sometimes I wish I can go back to the moment and planned better. But then t’was a beautiful vacation and all I want now is to do it again. I would love to see everyone back home, family and close friends, but if there is something I would like to stress more is that more than having a good time and reunions, I would like to relax, take things slow, and fall asleep while chatting with mom and grandmama.

So what will I do now? Of course, airline rates are better if you book way ahead from your preferred date to fly. I’m crossing fingers and toes to find a good deal! Also, it would be nice to treat the family into a nice weekend vacation, someplace near the beach, yeah, should check out cheap hotels but definitely with a great service. I actually have something in mind but it good to have a list and then decide on which one is the best. For us to enjoy every moments together.

I’m so looking forward to our family’s next home coming and I bet the peeps back home can’t wait to see the kids and how they’ve grown up so much. Just the thought of it right now makes me more excited and i can not wait to hugs them once again!

Sewing 101: Mommy and Daughter Match outfit

Aren't they cute? I am so proud of the outfits. Matching mom top and girl dress for me and my daughter. Will be wearing these in the summer time. Sewing is outside my ally honestly! But my 4 year old daughter given me the inspiration to pursue this hobby. Right now i am not a pro nor experts to sew dresses for her but i will do my best to create nice stuff for her, well particular dresses that's her favorite of all, lol.

When i have my spare time, i go ahead and make one or two really depends on the style. I admit this is the easiest and simple patterns i use. So far so good. anyway, more sewing coming up guys. Wink!

Sewing and Crafts

I look forward to my new project to make soon. It's my other hobby should I say. I am not into sewing before when back i was single, however when you are a mom and have a daughter your prospective will change tremendously. I started getting the interest of sewing specially dresses when i have my second child and she's my only girl. I called her my walking doll, because she's a typical lil girl who loves dresses and make her feel like a princess. One reason why i wanted to have a daughter in the first place. I am so envy before when i see mommies and their lil princess together, dressing up their girls with those beautiful dresses with matching bows and shoes and stuff like that, lol! Ohhh, they're so CUTE! That's why, i told my husband i want one, haha! I am so thankful he gave me one. So from then on, I am a certified crafty mom just like any other mommies out there.

Learning these things wasn't hard at all, i know i rather cook than make dresses and accessories but, hey you know what right now?  I totally enjoying it! I can't wait to get my new sewing machine delivered so i could start my thingy very soon. Spring is fast approaching, would be nice to dress up my princess with those colorful and brilliant spring color dresses that she really love. Those are my materials and fabrics to make. Will share you my creation as soon as i start sewing. Excited pretty much! Wink.
