Well, last monday i took my kids to their pedia for their check ups and everything went well the parents always wanted to hear that they both growing healthy and strong. Anyway, my lil girl had a slight fever yesterday because of the 4 shots they give which is normal it said. Well talking about shots, my doctor which is their pedia as well really recommend us to get this FluMist thing for protection of the outgoing flu or the H1S1 flu virus. It is really advisable to children 2 years and up to have this, better safe than never right espeacially flu season is around the corner. So mothers out there if you haven't get any yet to your kiddos ask their pedia about it and they will enlighten you more about the FluMist protection.

Teach your Children to manage money

With so many adults in financial trouble today, experts are urging parents to teach your children to start save money in early age. Try ask most children where money comes from, and they might say "Daddy" or "the bank". If you can teach your children the value of money, how to separate needs from wants, how to save, and how to invest you may help them avoid the heartache of crushing debt and economic slavery.

Here are a few suggestions to us Parents:
1. Be a good example. Your children will generally imitate what you do more than what you say.
2. Set spending limits. Discuss how much you and they can spend. Learn to say no, and mean it.
3. Allow them to manage money. If they receive an allowance or earn money from job, give them some guidelines. Then allow them to make some decisions.
4. Teach the to share. Encourage your children to share what they have with others as well as regularly to set something aside to honor God.

MR. SUN

The sun is soon to come. We're starting to feel the warm breeze and see the rays of Mr. Sun. Outings and vacations definitely would be part of our plans right? But even if we love Mr. Sun, it's a fact that there are dangers in over exposure to the sun. Our skin is the number one target, hence should protect it as much as possible. To enjoy the warm and hot weather ahead, here are some tips to save your skin...

1. Protect yourself from the sun especially between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, when the sun's rays are strongest.

2. Even on cloudy days, use a broad spectrum sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays and that has a sun protection factor of 15 or greater.

3. Reapply sunscreen every two hours when outdoors, especially if you are swimming or perspiring.

4. Wear protective, tightly woven clothing. Dark colors give more protection.

5. Wear a hat with at least a four-inch brim and sunglasses with ultraviolet protective lenses.

6. Stay in the shades whenever possible.

7. Avoid reflective surfaces, such as water, sand, and snow, which reflect most of sun's damaging rays.

Apple Alert!

I do like apple a lot! They said the skin of the apple is really good because there's lot of vitamins in it, i do agree though but to bad i can't eat the skin can't even chew it! So whenever I have some apple i always pilled the skin off. Gladly for me because i just got an email from a friend of mine about being careful when eating APPLES! you know why??
This is what I got:
Dear All,
Be Careful when eating apples
Please don't eat the skin of the apple because it's coated with wax.
Check before you eat many of the fruits.
WAX is being used for preservation purposes and cold storage.
You might be surprised especially apples from USA and other parts are more than one year old, though it would look fresh. Becox wax is coated, preventing bacteria to enter. So it does not get dry. Please Eat Apples after removing the wax as demonstrated above.
This apple alert reminders is indeed it will be a benefit to us & others. So next time we know what to do when craving for apples.

TIPS FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

● Normally a pregnant woman’s daily diet should include fruits, vegetables (especially dark-green, orange, and red ones), legumes (such as beans, soybeans, lentils, and chick-peas), cereals (including wheat, corn, oats, and barley—preferably whole grain or fortified), food from animal sources (fish, chicken, beef, eggs, cheese, and milk, preferably skimmed milk). Fats, refined sugars, and salt are best consumed in moderation. Drink plenty of water. Avoid caffeinated beverages, as well as foods containing preservatives and additives (such as artificial colorings and flavorings). Starch, clay, and other nonedible substances can cause malnutrition and toxicity.

● Beware of possible environmental hazards, such as overexposure to X-rays and harmful chemicals. Limit use of sprays and other household substances. Do not become overheated because of exposure to excessive temperatures or overexercise. Avoid prolonged standing and overexertion. Use proper seat belt positioning.

Reading to Newborn Babies Beneficial

Reading to young children has such a powerful impact on the rest of their lives that experts now recommend parents begin doing so when their babies are just hours old," says The Toronto Star. Dr. Richard Goldbloom, who two years ago spearheaded the first newborn literacy program in Canada, says: "One of the things we’ve learned and observed is that when you do read to a baby, they really pay attention from very early infancy. They are listening." Research indicates that just giving books to children from a very early age improves their vocabulary and reading skills. According to the newspaper, "the point is not to force toddlers to learn to read, but to expose them to both quality and quantity of language so they can acquire vocabulary and letter and sound recognition—and, eventually, actual reading skills."
